Based on the belief that every child should have his or her own toy to cherish, Toys 4 Smiles has delivered more than 224,000 hand-made wooden toy cars to children all over Las Vegas for the past 8 years. Toys 4 Smiles’ manufacturing facility is a modern-day Santa’s Workshop with volunteers of every age and ability. Each toy is lovingly made from scratch, starting with a piece of wood and ending with a stamped smile on wheels.
To help with inventory and administrative duties, Rimini Street donated laptops to Toys 4 Smiles, replacing their older and out-of-commission computers.
Founded in 1989, The Shade Tree provides a safe shelter and resources to abused, trafficked, homeless, and in-crisis women and children of Las Vegas. The Shade Tree is the only 24-hour accessible shelter in Nevada and the only shelter that accepts and provides round the clock care for pets that accompany family members.
At The Shade Tree campus, which houses more than 350 residents every day, women and children receive food, clothing, medical attention, counseling, employment training, and job placement opportunities. In support of The Shade Tree’s career-training program, Rimini Street donated laptops to be used for resume preparation, job searches, and computer skill building activities.
Children at NCC are offered a wide variety of therapy options including music, art, swimming, sports, reading, and entertainment. They are also given assistance with school projects and homework while learning new lessons from certified teachers.
Rimini Street donated laptops for NCC’s newly renovated computer room where children can learn to perform basic computer skills and improve communications. Rimini Street also had fun hosting a pizza party for the excited children and staff.
Rated a “Top 10 Elementary School” in Las Vegas, Walter Bracken Elementary School has proven that hard work and strong community partnerships are key ingredients to success. Student test scores are at an all-time high, peaking at 95% in the past couple of years.
To help the School continue on its journey of success and help develop early reading skills, Rimini Street donated Kindle Fires and provided a cash donation to the Walter Bracken library for the purchase of electronic books.
Located in North Las Vegas, Cyril Wengert Elementary School has worked diligently in providing students with the best educational program available. Although Wengert Elementary School has won several awards for their commitment and success with at-risk children, they were still faced with limited funding and 75% of students on reduced or free lunch programs.
Rimini Street donated laptops to support the school’s “mobile computer program” which provides children in every classroom access to laptops on wheels.
Founded in 1970, Las Vegas Rescue Mission is a faith-based recovery, rehabilitation, and resource center for men, women and children without homes and those recovering from addiction. The Rescue Mission serves over 1,000 meals a day to the local hungry residents of the Rescue Mission and emergency shelter guests, necessary clothing ad hygiene items, as well as counseling and assistance.
Rimini Street regularly provides food products to the Rescue Mission in support of their pantry program and donated laptops to replace the outdated computers being used by the administrative team members and volunteers. Rimini Street recently donated dozens of office chairs to be used in their conference and meeting rooms where mock job interviews are held for the Rescue Mission's job training program clients. During our "Summer of Giving" activities, Team Nevada volunteered as Cleaners, Sorters, and Packers for multiple areas of the Las Vegas Rescue Mission's campuses.
